Hurdle making is the traditional rural craft of making woven fencing out of hazel withies. From animal enclosures to the walls of houses using wattle and daub, hurdles can serve many purposes and can be used for a large array of different projects.
The almost forgotten craft of hurdle making has been passed down from father to son in the Parsons family and spans over five generations, ensuring that none of the specialist techniques, secrets or pride in the craft are lost.
Parsons & Sons pride themselves on delivering meticulous craftsmanship alongside an unquestionable passion for protecting wildlife, all things outdoors and keeping traditional crafts alive.
Parsons & Sons have delivered their hurdle-making expertise both locally and further afield in projects spanning the country.
